Days Out

The society has regular outings and visits to local places of interest.

Below are some images taken from a previous outing.

Dover Castle, Dover

Dover Castle has been a "working" building until 1984, when the underground tunnels (initially built around the Napoleonic wars) were finally taken out of service. Whilst the castle itself has been updated and amended since its original build - with the Keep considered to be one of the strongest ever built - in more recent years it was from the tunnels that the operations around the french coast were planned and executed.
